“Owls lived once there”

(2018-2019)

There was a wood surrounding a mansion in a corner of Tokyo in which owls lived. There was about 2,640 square meters. One day, all the trees of the wood were cut down. Later, I visited there, got permission to enter there from the landowner and researched all the remained stumps around the residence that was once protected by the trees. They were Japanese Zelkova which were over 100 years old and 61 in all. With the help of a friend I took photographs and measured them from directly above.
