KOMM : This is the common name for the “Kommunikationszentrum,” a municipal youth cultural center that operated in Nuremberg, Germany, from 1973 to 1997. In 1974, Michael Popp, a gymnasium teacher and sociologist, and his colleagues proposed entrusting the management of public facilities to young people. It had a significant impact on society as a “place” where people gathered, featuring a concert hall, cinema, cafe, library, recreation rooms, and Zen room.
